Mormons are not Christians!!!

Their beliefs are completely contrary to the Bible, teachings of Jesus, and are blasphemous to God and the Bible in their doctrine. It’s amazing to hear them say they are Christians or just like Christians. I have talked to a number of missionaries and Elders from the church of Latter Day Saints (LDS), Mormons. They seemed to be very nice people. The go to some of the worst neighborhoods and do mission work helping anyone they can. But their doctrine borders on just plain “crazy”. I’ve studied Mormonism a few times in the past just to get familiar with what they believe as I had done with many other religions, which is a good practice in order to open a dialog with them to witness about Jesus. But I had not studied them as I have this summer. It has been a truly eye opening experience. I will share with you some of what they believe and the differences between them and Christians so you can have a basis to study about them for yourself. I will include links to “The Book of Mormon”, “Pearl of Great Price”, and “Doctrines and Covenants” where some of their beliefs are found. Some of the information includes Jesus’ ministry in the United States, Joseph Smith’s miraculous experience seeing two personages in a pillar of light, places, languages, coins, and people who have absolutely no historic records to substantiate their validity.

Unfortunately, they study these doctrines far more deeply and in greater depth than Christians study the Bible. They are heavily indoctrinated, like Jehovah’s Witnesses, and can usually stand their ground against most Christians and pastors because of their requirements of study and works to be initiated into the initiated brotherhood.

I will list fundamental differences between Mormon beliefs and Christians. Some of the differences may not become apparent when speaking with them because the interpretation of verbiage is different in their belief system.

• God was once a man and progressed to become a God.

• There are an infinite number of gods (Polytheism)

• God is on the planet Kolob having children with His wives.

• God became God from obedience to the law.

• Jesus had wives, Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalen and fathered many children.

• Jesus ascended from the Mt. Olives but came to the Americas to witness to the indigenous people.

• When people are recycled back to life as spirit babies they lose their memories of the previous life.

• We will all become gods and have many “spirit children” on our own planet after we die.

• Men are to have many children with women as possible to create bodies for the spirit children to occupy.

• Mankind was never created. Mankind has always existed and simple transforms and reborn.

• Mankind must obey the law to become gods and populate the universe.

• The Garden of Eden was in Missouri.

• Native American Indians are Israelites.

• Noah built the ark in North Carolina. It traveled to Turkey after the flood.

• Jesus and Satan are brothers.

• Satan deceived 1/3 of the angel to rebel against God who became demons. The angel who fought valiantly became Caucasians and lighter skinned races. The angels who chose not to fight became darker skinned people with a character predisposition to gravitate toward evil. In other words, “Black people are cursed”, according to Mormons as taught by Brigham Young.

• Only the devil, demons, and apostate Mormons everyone else will go to “Celestial Glory” or “Telestial Glory”.

• Adam did not commit a sin when he ate of the tree. Mormons do not believe the “original sin of Adam”.

• A person can go to Heaven doing good works.

I’ve listed a few primary doctrinal areas of concern for anyone equating Mormonism and Christianity. I could go on and actually write another book on this topic. Mormons do believe these and many other things that art contradictory to the King James Version of the Bible, but they will not initially discuss these topics with Christians because they want to appear as if they’re like you. Their goal is to convert you Christians, and they are good at it. Many Mormons today came from bible believing churches.

The belief system is a mixture of Catholism and the occult. Ceremonies in the temple mirror similar ceremonies in most Roman Catholic Cathedrals today. Ceremonies done closed to the public and most Mormons are identical to those done in occult ritual as recorded by Bill Schnoebelen. Bill Schnoebelen began as a Catholic Priest and one of the highest Druid priests in the country before becoming a Mormon priest. John Todd who was on the Grand Druid council of 13 in the occult exposed the relationships that exist between Mormonism and the occult. Mormon Temples in Utah are full of occult symbolism.

The Mormon religion is very powerful. They have over 14 million members. They are financial supported by devout tithers and donors. Here is a short list of some of the businesses owned by Mormons:

Most Mormons are good people seeking a sense of righteous through works, similar to the Catholic Church. They are caught up in a false religion that will lead them to damnation. When witnessing to them it is crucial to express the love of Jesus. Most of them will not accept what you say at the time you are witnessing. It’s important to share Jesus with them while you’re talking to them. You’ll be planting a seed the Holy Spirit of God can use to change the heart of that person. But most Mormons are more open to carry on a conversation with you if you can “speak their language”, and intelligently talk about their religion.
