Psalm 37:13 ESV

But the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming.

He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.

But you, O Lord, laugh at them; you hold all the nations in derision.

The above photo is a picture of the planet earth as it appears from the edge of our solar system. I included this photo to remind us of the reality of our current situation. We are a race of people created by God. Were dependent upon God for our very existence for all of our needs, food, light from the sun, oxygen, etc. If God were to cease providing any of our necessities of life we would cease to exist. Of considering the fish in my fish tank and the things I provide for them to live. If I were to cease feeding them, cleaning the tank periodically, or simply cutting the power to the heaters and pump, the fish would die. We all everything to our God and his son Jesus Christ. Despite these facts, billions of people around the world either ignore God or reject him. It is mind-boggling to consider that some people blaspheme God with the very oxygen that he provides them to live. Yet hello God exceeds the rebellion of mankind to the point where he sent his only son to die for all of our sins.

2 Thessalonians

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

The Bible tells us that even Christians will "fall away" from the love of God and be lost. Right before Jesus’ return. The great falling away is happening today before our very eyes. Is difficult to watch. Knowing that many turn away. Right before the promise of Jesus’ return is fulfilled.

Nations of the world have turned their backs on God as well. The majority of the nations in the world today are atheistic. There are approximately only 10 nations in the world today that identify themselves as being Christian. We see warfare, genocide, greed, and corruption in all governments. Some powerful nations defy God and rebel against him directly. Nations like Iran, Turkey, and other allies in the Middle East seek to destroy Israel because they call themselves God's people. Psalms 83 and Ezekiel 38 describes future military attempts by enemies of God to attack and destroy Israel. But despite all these things, God is patient, loving, and seeks that number to perish.

There are three verses in the Bible that tell us, that God, actually laughs. This lets us know that God loves joy and happiness. But in these verses, God is laughing at the defiant nations who stand against Him. The arrogance of nations who stand against God is matched by their ignorance of how futile it is to stand against Jehovah God, our Creator. The power of God to create all of creation in six days is far beyond our comprehension to imagine. I wonder if the blinders of reaching the fights against God were removed, with these evil rulers of nations still rebelling against God. The only harm men in this world can inflict is on other men. God and other angelic beings exist outside of our world. In a dimension that we as people can never have access to. Our only option is to be obedient as stated in the following scripture:

Psalms 2

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.

The fear of the Lord shows wisdom and awareness of our relationship with God. We should love and fear our Lord out of gratitude and appreciation of his love for us. We should love and accept his son Jesus in our recognition of his love and eternal sacrifice for us. The fact that God laughs at those who stand against Him and have aligned themselves against us means that we should not fear them. Our God before us is more than the world against us. This is not just a saying, but a statement of truth. We acknowledge how small our enemies are against our great awesome God.

I pray that you are encouraged in the face of adversities and enemies. God sees and knows all things. He sees and knows your situation. The most powerful weapon we have against every obstacle in front of us is prayer. When we pray, we activate our father God in heaven who loves all his children. “No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
