The Truth Begins in Genesis

“In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth”, is the beginning of the truth, the Bible, and God’s word. As Christians, we all should believe this. All of creation begins in the Book of Genesis. God created the entire universe in six days then He rested. That is truly amazing. We believe God has created all things because the Bible has said so, which is an exercise in faith. Our understanding and belief in why things are is not dependent on what scientists say. Science is merely a study of what God has done, and some cases how He has done these amazing things. Through the centuries we’ve seen the information from science change and the information from scientists change as technology has advanced. Our belief in what the God’s written word has said, from the book of Genesis to Revelation, cannot be confined to the current limitations of scientific technology. We should have the faith to believe what the Bible says and watch the available technology reaffirm it.

Sadly, some denominations and churches have begun to doubt the Genesis account of creation. They have bought into the secular teaching of an earth that is billions of years old and mankind is millions of years old. They teach that dinosaurs died millions of years before mankind evolved. Earth science classes teach the Darwinian belief that man evolved from bacteria in the ocean over the course of millions of years. These teaching are expressed as facts with the time periods given in a matter of fact fashion. There is even a Darwinian Day celebrated in some countries. There is now a teaching that has been accepted in some denominations called the “gap theory”. It is a theory that teaches that each day of creation is thousands or even millions of years. These churches substantiate this theory with the scripture from two scriptures, which are taken out of context.

Psalms 90:4

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousandyears, and a thousand years as one day.

Taken in context, these scriptures are merely giving examples of God’s longevity compared to mankind’s lifespan. Men cannot look at time the way God can because the existence of God expands beyond men’s comprehension. It is a mistake to apply these verses to the Genesis account of creation. This belief falls flat simply by reading further in the scripture to discover that the scripture clearly defines a day as morning to evening:

Genesis 1:4-5

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

I studied the “gap theory” some years ago as a challenge from my dad. After about a year I came to the conclusion that there was no “Gap”. God works miracles every second. We cannot comprehend His abilities. We must trust and believe them in faith. We cannot expect people who do not have the spirit of God in them to understand God’s ways or abilities. They cannot comprehend God or what he has done.

1 Corinthians 3:19-20

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

People, to whom God has not revealed Himself, are not capable of understanding Him. We shouldn’t fully engage in the argument of creation with someone who has been indoctrinated in evolution. We should share the message of the gospel and the truth about creation. We must also pray that their eyes would be opened by the Holy Spirit. Evidential matter would not sway many who do not choose to believe in Jesus. There were people who actually saw Jesus work many miracles before their eyes, yet they still don’t believe in Jesus.

Matthew 28:17

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Darwinism has been proven to be true. Almost everything he taught/assumed has been proven to be scientifically untrue. Here is a list of ten Darwinism myths proven false by scientists yet they are still taught in school:

Myth #1: Through the process of random variation and natural selection, man evolved from the ape.

Myth #2: The evolution of any organism occurs through a purposeless process which happens gradually over a very long period of time.

Myth #3: Mutation is a plausible cause of evolution.

Myth #4: The fact that no intermediate fossils exist to show the "footsteps" of evolution from one species to another does not undermine Darwinism.

Myth #5: Purely natural forces account for the gulf between the organic and inorganic worlds as well as the gulfs between different levels of complexity within the organic world.

Myth #6: The theory of evolution best explains the fact that homologous, analogous, and vestigial organs exist among remote species.

Myth #7: Irreducibly complex systems in biology are easily explained by Darwinism.

Myth #8: Man is a purely physical, spiritless being.

Myth #9: It is a coincidence of science that the wondrous beauty of "randomly selected" organisms both great and small is a source of immense joy and happiness for human beings.

Myth #10: As a result of the process of natural selection, the keen intellect and creative genius of human beings is very similar to apes; it varies only by degree.

It is also important to remember that Charles Darwin, who is memorialized by our education system, also had a racist attitude towards dark skinned people. He believed that Africans, Aborigines, and other dark skinned people were closely related to apes and that blacks were part of the missing link between whites and the apes, this is his belief in “Polygenics”. A Pygmy from Africa, named Ota Benga, was paraded around the country and put on display in a zoo as part of the progression of evolution. This is one of many points of evolution teachers leave out.

Over the past 30 years old Earth and evolution teachers have changed the age of the Earth multiple times. The age of mankind has also change. Their numbers of years don’t fit the facts nor can be proven yet they refuse to accept the Biblical account. The millions of years of being applied to the age of the universe have all been disproven.
