Truth about the Muslim faith
The Quran has many errors in its content and dogmatics. The Quran contains a lot of information most Muslims aren’t aware of. As Christians, we have to have a heightened awareness of what other religions believe in order to have the ability to witness to them. We also have to inform our youth to protect them from misinformation from other religions and indoctrinate them with a correct Biblical view. Islam has had a particular appeal in black communities and prisons. It is mostly because of misinformation and lack of teaching from churches. For example, we hear some Muslims say that no one should worship or revere the “white Jesus”, yet Jesus is not identified as white in the Quran. Iesa (Jesus) is given supernatural attributes that Muhammed isn’t given. There are many conflicts and errors in the Quran that Christians should be aware of so we won’t be deceived and hopefully can used to convert Muslims who will listen. The Quran is in its 6th revision because of critical errors written in its texts.
Jesus Is the Son of God and Greater than Muhammed
To Christians, it should be completely obvious that Jesus is the Son of Jehovah God and is greater than Muhammed. Jesus was with God in the beginning. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, is greater than the angels, rose from the dead, and is worthy and deserving of worship. These are simply a few of His supernatural attributes. Under no other name will mankind be saved, “JESUS”. Muhammed doesn’t even attempt to make that claim. The most important thing for Christians to remember is that Muslims who die as Muslims are lost forever in Hell. But Jesus can save them all.
Hebrews 1 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
The Quran acknowledges Jesus is greater than Muhammed 7 times giving Him attributes only someone who is God could have:
Surah 19:20- Mary bore a Son Jesus not having been with a man. (Virgin Birth). Muhammed was born of a man and woman.
Surah 3:46- Jesus spoke as a baby from the cradle.
Surah 3:49- As a child, Jesus creates birds from clay by blowing on it.
Surah 3:49- Jesus gives sight to the blind and heals leapers.
Surah 3:49- Jesus raises the dead.
Surah 19:19- Gabriel the messenger tells Mary she will be given a sinless Son. Jesus was sinless. Muhammed had to ask for forgiveness for sin.
Surah 19:19- Jesus was sinless. No other prophet is able to make that claim, even in the Quran.
Iesa (Jesus) is the 2nd holiest person in Islam next to Mohammed. Many Muslims don’t believe Jesus was the Son of God. They don’t believe in the imputation of sin or anyone’s ability to die for the sins of another. Islam teaches that no one can ever have another’s sin lain upon another individual. This leads to the belief in Islam that there is no original sin.
Surah [6:165] Say, ‘Shall I seek a lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of all things?’ And no soul acts but only against itself; nor does any bearer of burden bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord will be your return, and He will inform you of that wherein you used to differ.
The Quran teaches that Adam and Eve sinned and were expelled from the Garden of Eden. But if they sinned and their sins were not imputed to their descendants, why wasn’t everyone born afterwards allowed in the Garden of Eden at birth? The sin of Adam and Eve has been passed on to all of the descendants of the Earth as the Bible has correctly stated. We suffer in sin because of Adam’s sin. We are set free and exonerated because of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Surah [7:23] So he caused them to fall into disobedience by deceit. And when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them and they began to stick the leaves of the garden together over themselves. And their Lord called them, saying, ‘Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: verily, Satan is to you an open foe?’
Surah [7:25] He said, ‘Go forth, some of you being enemies of others. And for you there is an abode on the earth and a provision for a time.’
We should know enough about the Muslim faith to understand that Allah and Jehovah God are not the same. Jehovah God of Israel written of in the Talmud is established long before Muhammed was born or the Quran was written. Our God Jehovah sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. Jehovah takes care of us and seeks to have a relationship with us. Jehovah is a God of life and love. Jehovah asks us to love and forgive. Allah demands an “eye for an eye”, and calls for the death of infidels Allah only has demands and commands for his followers. He doesn’t seek any relationship for his followers nor does Quran claim that he cares for anyone. These are distinct differences in character which set them apart.
The Arabic language and the Arabic name Allah-“The god”, comes from Nabataea from the region of southern Turkey/ Norther Iraq (Assyria).
The Nabataea “Allah” had a wife Al-Lat and two daughters, Al-Uzza and Al-Manat.
Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Al-Manat are all goddesses in the Quran; Surah 53:19-20.
Muslims teach that Jehovah and Allah are the same, when they are actually very different.
The Quran calls Jesus “Iesa” 93 times. Muhammed is only mentioned 4.
The Quran is a book with good sayings as well as a book that calls for the death of those who do not follow it. The Bible is a book of life and mercy.
The following link contains the entire Quran. It has the English and Arabic translations. Only 15% of Muslims in the world speak Arabic which has lead to widespread deception amongst its followers. We should be familiar with it if we’re going to convert Muslims to Jesus Christ.
