Romans Chapter 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
King James Version (KJV)
Chapter 1 of Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans is enlightening in its description of the struggle for truth. I believe it wasn’t only written for the Romans in his day but for the people living in the last days. The scientific discoveries that definitively support the Biblical account of creation in Genesis, has been suppressed. Scientific discoveries that have the worlds of physics, astronomy, quantum physics, mathematics, and many other fields of study, turning on their heads are largely suppressed because they would force atheists to abandon their assertion that all creation came into being randomly. They would have to acknowledge that there is a God. This would be followed by the admission of sin, need for repentance, and a mandate to follow God’s laws and accept Jesus. This chapter also points out how the resistance to accept the truth of God has cause evil men and women to indulge in sexual immorality like homosexual behaviors. Because people have rejected the truth and have pleasure in their sins God will give them over to a “reprobate mind”. The resistance of truth and God has caused them to take on the behaviors described in vs. 29-32 which will lead them to the Lake of Fire.
The evidence shows that the bible has been right all along. Many scientists have become Christians as a result of what recent discoveries have uncovered. It has caused others to admit that the conclusions drawn from the effort to disprove that there is a God are incorrect. The all of creation points to an intelligent design and “Designer”. What Christians have been teaching regarding creation is supported by the evidence. Even when Christians may not have fully understood “why” they were right, we only need to have the faith to believe what the Bible says until we are given the understanding. Showing faith in Genesis, in the things we have not witnessed, will please God and increase our faith in the rest of God’s word. This chapter is another eschatological description of the days before the rapture. It describes the things happening right now. These events aren’t a discouragement, but just the opposite, they are an encouragement. Jesus’ return is very near. Jesus is coming and His rewards are with Him. BE ENCOURAGED, THE END IS NIGH.
Revelation 22:12
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
