The Biblical Stand For Marriage

There have been many attacks on Christian biblical principles that we believe. The attacks question the credibility and accuracy of the bible. The media, television, politicians, and academic intellectuals have all demeaned the bible and portrayed the bible as outdated. The foundation of the bible begins in Genesis. If people begin to doubt the truthfulness of Genesis, then they will doubt everything else in the bible. Here are a few areas that the bible has endured scrutiny:

We’ve seen legal challenges to the sanctity of marriage. The media and entertainment industries have attempted to redefine sexuality. The biblical standard defined by God is different than society’s very liberal standard, which changes all the time. God is immutable, as His people, we should not change.

The Nashville is a statement by Evangelical pastors and clergy nationwide, who have reaffirmed God’s interpretation of marriage and sex. This is an opportunity for believers in Christ to take a stand for what the bible says. We believe that John 1:1 is true, “… the Word was with God and the Word was God”. I’ve included a link to the “Nashville Statement” for everyone to read for themselves. The “Nashville Statement” web-site also allows everyone to sign and support the stand of Christians for the bible.
