Christmas Time

The real meaning of Christmas lies in Luke 2, Jesus’ birth. Jesus came from Heaven to give the ultimate sacrifice for all of mankind. Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th, as we all know, but we celebrate His birth during this time of year. I think it’s a good thing to celebrate Jesus birth or anything that exalts Jesus Christ. This is why I believe Christians should remember to keep Jesus first this time of year. It’s the job of Christians to tell the truth about what the Bible says despite what people may think. We must trumpet the word of God that Jesus Has Come and The Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!

Teaching the true origins of Christmas is an effort to educate Christians about its true origins. Many of today's Christmas observances and practices are pagan. The Yule log, mistletoe, and other traditional activities are part of the Norse and Druidic rites and ritual, which they still practice today. The Christmas tree practice originated in Babylon as worship of Tamuz and continued in Germany as part of the worship of Oden. The practice of the decorating a tree and bringing it into a home was done long before Jesus came (Jer. 10:1-5).
Jeremiah 10:1-5
1 Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

I'm not against recognizing and observing Jesus' birth into this world. Jesus if it's in someone's heart to feel reverence to Christ coming, then they should do so. Singing carols giving, gifts, and acts of benevolence reflect the giving of kindness and giving of Jesus life. What is an issue, is the rites and rituals which are part of the occult that Christians are taking part in, knowingly or unknowingly. I write this lesson as one who loved Christmas growing up. I liked the tree, wreaths, eggnog, gifts, and all. Through love and conviction God woke me up and showed me what the holiday was about. I want to show you where this all began so you will know the truth. Then you won't be deceived and you can decide what you will do with the information. We will discuss the observance of Christmas on Dec. 21. Please check out these videos and links.
