A Time for the Church to Unite

The world is changing. The move from a Godly standard of morality to an anarchical state is in full swing. The morals of society have been moving away from the Bible. Today, the move away from Biblical standards has been accelerated. People are becoming more apathetic and selfish as described in 2 Timothy 3:1-7:
3 Timothy 1-7
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
The position of the Church is to be steadfast in following the Word of God. The people of God must have the characteristic of being “steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the Word of the Lord”. It doesn’t matter how far away from God society moves; Christians cannot follow. The dynamic of separation between society and Christians is causing Christians to stand out from society. Christians will increasingly be ostracized from the behaviors and activities of the world because we won’t change our standards of behavior with them. The result is that the church is being attacked more frequently for being different and not going along with the sinful behaviors of society in their rejection of the ways of God.
The difference in behavior between Christians and secular society have cause discussions, debates, and a separation of activities in different areas of our country. Christian groups and churches are being attacked for their beliefs. TV shows, news media, and the entertainment industry are heavily biased against Christian values. The education systems from K-12, colleges, and universities have embraced secular humanism, which is an atheistic belief system. Many schools have become hostile towards Christians and won’t allow Biblical beliefs to be discussed on their campuses.
The new challenge Christians face threatens our ability to openly practice Christianity. House Resolution #5 will make observance of traditional values illegal. I began speaking about the growing legal threat in 2011. The attempt to take away the 501C exemption from churches that refused to marry gays began over 15 years ago. The evil organizations that are seeking to subdue Christianity in America are doing so in multiple areas:
· Removal of prayer and God from Schools
· Elevating Homosexual rights above Heterosexual rights.
· Negative perception of Christianity in Media and entertainment.
· Enforcement of Gay rights in the military.
· Enforcement of Juvenile Tran-sexual treatment without parental consent.
· Biblical teaching on Homosexuality listed as “Hate Speech”.
· All bathrooms in churches and public buildings become unisex.
· Christian schools forced to replace biblical teaching with a secular world view.
· Christians not being allowed to adopt children because of Christian values.
· Gives special protections for ALL sexual perversion (including pedophilia) to be promoted in churches, schools and online.
· And it will make abortion a federal right and supersede all state laws.
Politicians and organizations that are promoting HR5 are positioning themselves as enemies of the faith. Never before in the history of the United States has there been such an oppressive law to any religion. Christians values have been challenged in the court of public opinion but HR5 will make many Christian values illegal and subject to courts acting. Unfortunately, some Christians have supported politicians that voted for HR5 in Congress. The House of Rep., with a Democratic majority, has passed HR5 along party lines. Pres. Biden has vowed to sign HR5 into law if it passes the US Senate. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like the HR5 bill has the votes to pass the Senate. What needs to be observed is that the effort to pass these types of bills doesn’t go away. The persistence to legalize the promotion of the LGBT and transgender agendas is how these laws become enacted. Other bills that have lost in the past but are slated to be presented again are the bills to lower the legal age to 12 to have consensual sex, polygamy, and give 14 yr. old girls the legal right to get an abortion without parental consent. The strategy seems to be an attempt to continually push these bills until they pass. When they are defeated, they don’t go away, they’re simply presented with a different name and vote on as a new bill.

I’m calling on all people who call themselves Christians to unite together as never before. Our freedom of Religions is being taken away. The right for a Christian to live as the Bible teaches is being vilified and potentially against the law. It’s time for all people who call themselves Christians to unite against the attack against our faith. Denominational differences must be set aside. When people are on a sinking ship, they must band together to save the ship despite their differences. They must unite or they will all sink. This is the position of the Church today. Political alliances must take a back seat to the ministry. I’m not a fan of the ecumenical movement or universalism because all beliefs do not lead to Heaven. The path to forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven is through Jesus only.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6).
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
God does not force salvation on anyone, although He has the power to do so. He has given everyone the free will to choose what they will believe. We will all be judged on that decision when we die. The system of government in communist and many socialist countries seeks to take away that decision. They attempt to force their godless system of belief on the people. These governments are controlled by the devil and eventually will be directly controlled by the anti-Christ. We should want the freedom of religious expression for all people. But as history has shown us, freedom isn’t free. We’ve had the full freedom to practice and share our faith in the United States for so long that we’ve taken it for granted. Our freedoms have been taken away so slowly that many Christians have not noticed. HR 5 has become a real threat now that it has passed a very liberal Congress. There are Christians who have enabled the passage of HR 5 by voting for Congress men and women who voted for it.
I hope to encourage everyone to band together with every Christian they know to increase awareness of HR 5 so we can pray and fight it together.
